Welcome! We're the Pocahontas County Democratic Executive Committee, your direct connection to the West Virginia Democratic Party. We provide resources to Democratic Party candidates and information to voters.
Committee Members
Northern District: Louise Burner, Hallie Herold, Bob Sheets, Jay Lockman.
Central District: Peggy Owens, Loretta Malcomb, Zed Weatherholt.
Southern District: Ken Springer, Jay Miller, Mary Dawson, Chris Smith.
We were selected by Rachel Tompkins, District 11 Representative to the State Democratic Executive Committee, who was elected in 2022 for a term of four years. She submitted our names to State Democratic Party Chair, Mike Pushkin (D-Kanawha), who appointed us to serve through 2026.
The Committee meets the fourth Monday of every month, 6pm at McClintic Library in Marlinton. As we approach an important election year, we're seeking candidates for local office, event organizers, fundraisers, campaigners, and poll workers, graphic artists and writers. Please come to our next meeting and discover how you can get involved.
